Sail, enjoy, learn...

A seven-day vacation to remember

Cruising around the Adriatic has been the hit offer of agencies selling Mediterranean tourist packages for a number of years now. With 1,777 km of coastline, 689 islands, and 389 islets and rocks, it's no wonder that Croatia is sometimes called 'the land of a thousand islands'. Although only 48 of the islands are permanently inhabited, cruising around this part of the Mediterranean is an unforgettable experience.

Cruising + sailing course

Although cruise packages usually offer gulets and sailboats for 10-45 people, you can choose a more intimate trip for your vacation by sailing under the guidance of a professional skipper with your family or friends. For those who want to combine pleasure with learning something useful or those who love activity vacations, NAS SAILING CENTER offer a "Cruise, Learn, Enjoy" cruising package on a Salona 45 sailboat with the option of learning sailing basics for part or all of your crew.

There are several different "Cruise, Learn, Enjoy" itineraries that depart from different ports, depending on your wishes and preferences. A Salona 45 sailboat is ideal for a seven or ten-day cruise and its performance offers cruising comfort and a great sailing experience. Three cabins for two people and one for the skipper provide enough comfort for a sailboat. During the cruise, a professional skipper/instructor will organize training for all the interested members of your team, and at the end of your vacation you will be more knowledgeable about sailing and how to behave on the sea. Besides active participation in the day-to-day sailing and handling of the boat, the course covers:

  • Basic feauters and sailing terminology
  • Getting to know a sailboat
  • Safety at sea basics
  • Basics of sailing, wind rose
  • Sailing in a defined course
  • Turning windward and leeward
  • Meteorology basics
  • Navigation basics
  • Boating knots

What will you do?

The Cruise&Learn package itinerary takes place in the Northern Adriatic archipelago, where even during high season you can find secluded places to swim and enjoy the pristine nature. In addition, there is occasionally a cruise option in the Zadar archipelago that includes a visit to the magical and unmissable Kornati Islands.

During the seven-day cruise, you will have plenty of time to get to know some of the locations and their sights. Here are just a few of them:

  • Punat (island of Krk) - the first marina in the Adriatic and our most frequent port of departure; there's a Franciscan monastery on the islet of Košljun
